Taxi
After many years of complaining about taxi drivers and their unfair high rates for tourists arriving at Nice airport, an agreement between the City Hall and representatives of taxis in Nice has been reached and as from February 2018 a fixed rate for journeys to and from the city Centre and Nice International airport should be 32 euros. You will find Taxi ranks at the main entrances of both terminals. Be aware that some taxi’s will charge extra for big bags, a surcharge for more than two people etc.
If returning to the airport from the city centre you will find a full list and location of Taxi Ranks Here
Uber
Whilst waiting for your luggage on arrival at Nice airport we recommend connecting to the unlimited free WiFi tha the airport offers and beging the search for your Uber. The average cost of an Uber X (basic car) is approximately €65.00 from the airport to the train station in Cannes. However if you are a regular Uber user you will know that prices fluctuate a lot depending on time and ride availability. It is approximately a 7 km journey taking around 20 mins to the Old Town. Using the Uber app you can request your car when you are ready to leave or when you arrive, average waiting time during the day and early evening is 5 to 10 mins, it can be slightly longer at night. If you intend travelling to the airport at an unusually early hour we highly recommend pre arranging your Uber through there ‘Schedule A Ride’ option. You can compare prices and book different modes of taxi or Uber on the on Ride Guru website here. Departing from the airport once you have your car ordered your driver will most likely message you, or the app will inform you of the pickup location but the common practice for drivers is to pickup up passengers in the ‘Kiss and Fly’ car parks which allows them to park for a few minutes for free. The ‘Kiss and Fly’ at Terminals 1 & 2 is located just outside the main entrance across the street.
